The budget-friendly Strider Classic comes equipped with our no-flat tires, which are ready to take any punishment that your little renegade can dole out. The lightweight, steel frame was specifically constructed for child-level durability (that's the highest level of durability BTW). Oh yeah, it also has the lowest seat height of any balance bike (28-40 cm [11-16 in.]) on the market, so it fits an inseam of 30-43 cm (12-17 in.). Why? Because those little legs need to perfectly fit the bike they're riding to build up that confidence. The Strider Classic is a great, unembellished choice for those that want to jump in the pool but aren't quite ready to cannonball.
Become your little rebel's biggest cheerleader with the best bike out there.

We believe in raising kids who excel at life and always have the courage to tackle whatever comes next. That’s why the Strider 12 Sport Balance Bike has become the ultimate vehicle for kids as young as 18 months. Your tiny-legged toddler is ready to ride, thirsting for freedom, and craving adventure. Give your child the bike that set the world on fire and encourages them to experience the thrill of riding while developing confidence and coordination…before they’re even out of diapers.
The Sport is our best all-around model. Mini-grips mean little mitts can easily take control and make this lean, mean, durable bike the biggest bang for your buck, which is probably why it’s our best seller. The 12 Sport is the perfect bike to take your child from baby steps to big strides, all without busting out a toolkit (tool-free seat and handlebar adjustment AND tires that never go flat). The Strider Sport has a seat height range from 28-48 cm (11-19 in.), which means it fits a huge range of inseam lengths (30-51 cm [12-20 in.]). The cushy, padded seat and an additional extra-long seatpost means your child will get years out of their Strider.
Boring specs aside, this is the bike that introduces kids to the freedom, power, and responsibility of riding. Now they have the power to keep up with you when you’re out and about. No more strollers. No more of those ridiculous kid leashes. Your child can experience the truly amazing freedom that comes with being a part of the Strider family.

TOP FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The full-length & full ring-wrap chainguard on Miss Daisy keep clothes & legs cleanly and safely out of the way of the chain. Those attractively painted fenders keep the rain & mud off the bike AND the rider and look cute to boot.
- Our soft and comfortable foam grips feature a smooth vinyl cover that is embossed and stitched to match the saddle & decal theme.
- Those wide Brooklyn Speedway tires offer a large contact patch for greater stability, with a smooth tread surface for easy rolling, and hold plenty of air volume for a more comfortable ride.
- Our pedals offer a non-slip insert that keeps feet and shoes in full contact even when wet for safe & secure pedaling.
- Every 16" Miss Daisy offers stabilizing training wheels that assist the young rider in learning how to pedal, steer and balance a bike for the first time. The training wheel support struts attach securely both to the rear hub axle and the frame itself so that the training wheels don't rotate out of a plane with the rear wheel, preventing tips or spills.

SIDEWALK ADVENTURER
Everyone remembers their first bike; the combination of freedom and fun. That bike needs to be fun, comfortable and safe, which is why Laser 16 features a lightweight aluminum frame, removable training wheels, and BMX-style handlebars and saddle.
LIGHTWEIGHT ALLOY FRAME
Extra weight is the enemy of any bike. This is especially true for youth bikes, when the riders themselves are relatively light-weight. It’s tough to beat the cost-to-weight ratio of aluminum, which is why Laser 16 features a lightweight 6061 aluminum frame. This keeps the overall weight down, making the bike much more fun and easy to ride.
TRAINING WHEELS INCLUDED
When it comes to learning to ride a bike, building confidence is the name of the game. Laser 16 is equipped with training wheels, so young riders can build that confidence safely.
- Lightweight 6061 aluminum MX-moto frame design
- Tubular unicrown fork, MX Hi-Ten, straight blades
- Electro-plated black steel rims, steel front and Hi-Stop coaster brake rear hubs
- CST Dirt Knobbie tires
- BMX high-impact resin pedals
- Hi-Stop rear coaster brake
- BMX style handlebar with a safety bell
- Jamis BMX Jr. saddle
$299.95 - $359.95
TOP FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our lightweight & durable aluminum Laser frame is easier to pedal than steel.
The 20” Laser actually offers two types of brakes: a standard rear coaster brake, which most youngsters are familiar with, and a rear V-brake which many are not. Having the rear coaster brake as a back-up, allows youngsters to get used to hand-braking without going cold-turkey on the coaster brake they are comfortable with.
Our alloy rims are anodized black to provide even greater corrosion and rust resistance than the alloy already possesses. Before wheels are laced and trued, the rim sidewalls are ground to provide a smooth braking surface for the rear V-brake.
We build the Laser 2.0 wheels with 36 spokes in a 3-cross lacing pattern for a strong & durable wheel. Then mount knobby BMX tires that bite in the dirt, but also feature a rounded profile that rolls smoothly on neighborhood streets & driveways.
Every Laser 2.0 offers a kickstand for parking that pride & joy up securely, and a safety bell to announce that the Laser has arrived.
$299.95
Every Jamis youth bike uses size-specific items like grips, saddles and cranks that enhance comfort and control by providing the best possible bike fit. We focus on designing frames with low stand-overs to take much of the awkwardness out of getting on board and dismounting after.
We trim as much weight as we can with lightweight aluminum frames on many of the youth models and use aluminum parts where possible (the limiting factor here is working within a youth-bike-appropriate price point) to work towards that make-it-as-light-as-possible goal.

Comfortable, enjoyable mobility: that's Citizen. This is the ultimate low-carbon-footprint, sightseeing machine. It's a low-impact and fun workout for new cyclists and a zero-emissions way to get around town. We can't think of a better way to be a good Citizen.
Easy to look at. Easy to get on
We're super proud of the Citizen's sleek frame design. With an arcing top tube for the "men's" frames and s-bend top and down tubes for a super-low step-thru 'women's" version. In fact, we hesitate to designate either with gender specific labels because the version with the easy-access, low step-over top tube is suitable for anyone with limited hip flexibility who might be challenged to swing a leg over the rear wheel when mounting & dismounting.
And easy to ride
When it comes to recreational riding, nothing gets more uncomfortable faster than having to pedal more weight than necessary. That is why Citizen 1, 2 & 3 are built with lightweight 6061 aluminum tubing. In fact, our aluminum Citizen frames are at least a half-pound lighter than our famous steel coda street bikes. We design comfort into the naturally stiffer ride of the aluminum tubes by specifying larger volume 38c tires and adding a few millimeters to the chainstay and wheelbase length.
Ride position
A usual complaint from new or returning riders trying to get into the cycling groove is feeling uncomfortably perched forward with too much weight on their wrists and having to crank their necks backwards just to be able to see in traffic. We specifically designed our Citizens to remedy this. The large diameter 700c wheels push handlebar height up and shorter top tubes pull handlebars closer to the saddle, all to mitigate forward lean. Our 4-inch rise handlebars sweep back at a natural hand-grasp angle with a long-quilled or angle-adjustable stem that allows for a wide range of adjustment to tune handle bar height and reach perfectly for each ride.
Where it counts
Our super plush saddle features memory foam padding (Citizen 2 & 3) or extra high-quality polyurethane padding (Citizen 1 & Citizen) for optimum support with maximum comfort. The slip-resistant suede-type top prevents sliding and the burnished side panels reduce leg friction while pedaling. Elastomer springs help soak up high resonance road vibrations. Offered in gender-specific sizes.
Why 700c?
So why go with a Citizen instead of an Explorer or a Hudson since they all seem to offer many of the same comfort and quality attributes? It's simple: if your riding will be primarily on the road or on smoothly graded trails, the larger diameter road-bike sized 700c Citizen wheels roll faster with less rolling resistance and roll over potholes and railroad tracks more smoothly than the 27.5" wheels of the Explorer and Hudson.
Geared to go
The drivetrains on our Citizen 1, 2, & 3 all feature long cage rear derailleurs, full- size 48/38/28t triple chainring cranksets, and big 11-32t or 14-34t gearing in the back. This gives you the dual advantage of having fairly tall gears for controlled pedaling at speed on descents as well as really low gearing for easier pedaling uphill. It's a rider-friendly combination that's made the Citizens a perennial favorite of recreational cyclists.
